Frequently Asked Questions
Who would benefit from a meeting?
- Anyone who is looking for an unbiased evaluation of their current financial situation
- Anyone with an IRA, 401(k), TSA, or any other investment who would like to fully understand what they own and how it works, to help know how to maximize these dollars

Is Cutter Financial Group limited to specific investment companies?
No. Jeff Cutter, CPA/PFS started his management firm because he believes that each investor is unique and no single investment company is right for everyone. However, Cutter Financial Group’s whole financial and retirement system is built on a foundation of managing downside risk first so the upside can take care of itself. Our clients cannot afford to go backward over a market cycle.
I already work with a financial representative. Why should I meet with Cutter Financial?
Many of the people who come to visit us already have a financial representative. We find that often, the representative who is currently employed does not specialize in designing and deploying sound retirement systems built on a philosophy of managing downside risk first.
Why use a CPA/PFS for financial planning?
All financial professionals are not created equal. As a CPA, Jeff strives to handle demanding financial situations with both objectivity and integrity, utilizing his extensive knowledge. The PFS, or personal financial specialist, is a professional designation reserved for CPAs only and requires additional education, real-world experience, and extensive knowledge to pass a rigorous exam. Both of these designations must operate from a fiduciary standard.

What should I bring to the face-to-face meeting for a financial review?

- Your latest financial statements, such as mutual funds, CDs, life insurance policies, annuity policies, retirement accounts (IRA, 401(k), TSA, 403(b), etc.). Please bring your statements, not just a spreadsheet.
What happens during the face-to-face meeting?
This is YOUR hour; we will use it productively. This is a “working” hour where we will answer and address any questions you may have. By reviewing your information, Jeff and Jen will better understand your financial situation and concerns. Then we will help you design and deploy a sound financial system built on the bedrock philosophy that if you manage the downside, the upside can take care of itself. At the close of the hour, we will both decide if we should move to the next step.
